Aviation Explained: What Happens to Your Body on a Long-Haul Flight?

Back in 2021, Air India scripted history by successfully travelling over the North Pole to undertake the world’s longest air route flying between San Francisco and Bengaluru, covering a distance of about 16,000 kilometres, continuously flying for over 17 hours. In a few years, long haul will become even longer. Qantas, the Australian Airline has announced that from late 2025, it will fly passengers on non-stop flights from Australia’s east coast to London that would see you in the air for more than 19 hours in one stretch.
